Biography

Shauna T. Hagan is an attorney in her own firm, The Law Office of Shauna T. Hagan, LLC where she concentrates her practice in the area of family law. Shauna is an active member of the Delaware State Bar Association Family Law Section, the Women in the Law Section and the LGBT Section. She is the past Chair of the Family Law Section. She has also served on the Delaware State Bar Association's Executive Committee. Shauna is a Member of the Melson Arsht Inn of Court and is the current Secretary/Treasurer of the Inn's Executive Committee and is also a member of the St. Thomas More Society.

Shauna frequently volunteers for DVLS, Child Inc.'s DVAP program, the Office of Child Advocate and as previous Mock Trial Coach for Padua Academy. In 2013 Shauna received the Christopher J. White Distinguished Access to Justice Award for Commitment from the Delaware State Bar Association. In the community Shauna is a past member of the Board of Directors for The Delaware Adolescent Program (DAPI) and is a volunteer for the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay where she is on the Board Development Committee, the Advancement Committee and the Northern Advisory Council. She has previously been a member of the Friends of Grove Point, Capital Campaign and Women of Distinctions Committees for the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay. In 2015 Shauna received the Honor Pin for exemplary service in support of delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

Shauna graduated in 2001 cum laude with Honors Program Distinction from The University of Tampa where she was also awarded the Spartan Award for Leadership to the University. She was a member Phi Alpha Theta, Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Sigma Alpha, Kappa Delta Pi Honor Societies. She participated in several activities including Diplomat, Orientation Team Leader, Residence Hall Association Public Relations Coordinator, Tutor for the Academic Center for Excellence, Coxswain for Varsity Crew Team, McKay Hall Council, Delo Hall Council, Honor's Literary Journal, Honor's Council, and Model United Nations. Shauna was an Intern for the National Woman's Party in Washington, D.C. and studied abroad at St. Edmunds Hall, Oxford University.

She was awarded her J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 2004 where she was a participant in the Delaware Civil Clinic and the Democratic Law Caucus. While at Widener Shauna studied abroad at The University of Technology Law School, Sydney, Australia. She was admitted to practice law in the State of Delaware in 2004 as well as before the United States District Court for the District of Delaware in 2005. She frequently presents seminars on the topic of Family Law.
